If you got the Office documents, no matter it’s Word, Excel or PowerPoint documents, you need a program to open those documents.
What happen if you don’t have the program? Then, this is where the Office Viewer comes in. The Viewer allows you to open and view the document but you can’t edit your Office documents.

Microsoft Office Word 2007 Viewer
With Word Viewer 2007, you can open, view, print, and copy document contents to another program. However, you cannot edit an open document, save a document, or create a new document.
Microsoft Office Excel 2007 Viewer
The Excel Viewer 2007 allows you to open, view, and print Excel workbooks, even if you do not have Microsoft Excel program installed.
Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 Viewer
With PowerPoint Viewer 2007, you can view full-featured presentations created in PowerPoint 97 and later versions. You can view and print presentations, but you cannot edit them.
