"Excel 2007 RADIANS Function: An Example"

The Excel 2007 Radians function is one of the Math & Trig functions. It's use to convert angles measured in degrees to radians.

The syntax for the RADIANS function is:

=RADIANS(Angle)

Angle - the angle in degrees to be converted to radians.

To use the Excel 2007 RADIANS function

• Enter 180 into the cell C2.
• Click on cell D2 in the spreadsheet - where the result will be displayed.
• Click on the Formulas tab of the ribbon menu.

• From the Function Library group, click the Math & Trig icon and from the function drop down list, drag down and click on RADIANS to bring up the function's dialog box.

• From the Function Arguments dialog box displayed, click on the Angle line.
• Click on cell C2 in the spreadsheet (the degrees to convert to radians).
• Click OK.
• The result 3.141593 should appear in cell D2.
• When you click on cell D2 the complete function =RADIANS(C2) appears in the formula bar.
